My First Washi Tape Project

I love pink. I love hearts. Put them together and I’d go crazy over it. I’ve been meaning to try washi tape decorating, and when I saw this oh so adorable pink polka hearts washi tape, I knew I had to get it.

I bought this washi tape at EGG (Exciting Gifts + Goodies) at their Fairview Terraces branch. It was pretty expensive at Php 120, almost twice the price of washi tapes you can buy online. However, I just wanted to try my hand in decorating using washi tape, and I didn’t want to go through the whole process of ordering, paying for the shipping fee, etc., so I preferred to buy it in the store instead.

At that same day, I bought a new lightning cable for my iPad mini. My old lightning cable has surrendered (crappy quality cable you made there, Apple!) and I needed to buy a new one. I had my eyes on the Belkin lightning cable, and luckily, Beyond the Box (Eton Centris branch) has a pink one in stock.

The cable is a little longer and quite robust than the Apple-branded one. I hope it lives longer than my previous cable.

So for my first washi tape project, I decorated my white wall adapter to go with my pink lightning cable. It was very easy and it took me just a few minutes to do it. I’m quite happy with how it turned out, so kikay!

I’m planning to buy more tapes from online sellers in the future. I want to decorate more! My iPad case, perhaps? Feel free to share your washi projects with me or your trusted online sellers! J

Anna Under the Sun Begins

Hi everyone! I'm Anna, and this is Anna Under the Sun.

Naks! Parang newscast lang, noh? :) I am so happy and excited to finally start my own blog! I've been contemplating on starting one, but I haven't mustered the strength and courage to do so. I have been writing for a long time, but I'm not quite familiar with the technicality of online writing. I'm used to producing the content but not the layout. But hey, everyone has to start somewhere, right? So here I am, writing my first post on this blog! :)

Why Anna Under the Sun? Well, I'm pretty sure it's self-explanatory, but this blog is about things that I fancy writing and sharing about under the sun! :D May it be pretty things, interesting books, awesome movies, or treasured memories, I hope to share it with you, and hopefully give you something to smile about. :)

To tell you more about myself, I am a registered Tamaraw nurse (yes, I'm from FEU!), a freelance writer, and an English tutor. However, I am not practicing my profession yet, so I do tutorials full-time. One of the perks of being an online tutor is staying at home and having lots of free time. I'm almost always in front of the computer teaching, talking, watching, typing, browsing.. And as such, I have been exposed to different online cultures. I enjoy watching YouTube videos, especially beauty gurus. (Let's talk about our favorite beauty gurus in a future blog post -- yes, may idea na! Haha!). I also like to read beauty blogs from local and international bloggers. I find that they are very helpful when it comes to giving reviews about a product or sharing about the latest trends. Each of them is different and beautiful in their own way. I admire them for being who they are and enjoying every bit of it. I want to have that experience too. I would like to call myself as a wallflower since there's nothing too remarkable about me, but I want to share what I know and experience, and relate to other people too. Maybe it's because I'm at home most of the time or that my social life is comparable to that of a hermit (nah, just joking! :D), but I really do want to give back and help other people in the thing that I do best -- writing. :)

I'm looking forward to taking you along this journey, and I hope to bond with you too! :)

Cheers to an exciting ride!

Love,

Anna ;) :*
